Joy to the world

Joy to the world! The Lord is come
Let earth receive her King!
Let every heart prepare Him room

The first Advent awakens joy to the world just as the Second Advent of the Coming of Jesus Christ is the light that shines in our darkness, and darkness cannot extinguish it. C. S Lewsis said, “The Son of God became a man that men might become sons of God.” What a joyful news! Joy to the world, Jesus has come to remove our inherited sinful nature, hence Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. What shall it profit you and me celebrating Christmas without Jesus Christ? It is vanity. The joy of Jesus’ coming is to make you become a new vessel of honour unto God in anticipation of his Second Coming. Joy to the world, ONLY Jesus Christ who died on the Cross for all, paid the price of our sins for all.

The joy that comes through Jesus’ coming, and through the salvation he has given us points us to eternal and everlasting joy. The joy of Jesus’ coming is not ‘dependent on what is going on in our life, in our world, or the people that we are with. It doesn’t depend on the gifts we give or the gifts we find under the tree. No earthly thing can ever give us complete joy.’ Beloved, the joy of Jesus that filled the hearts of the shepherds, the angels, the wise men, Mary and Joseph is still available even now and has the power to overwhelm your heart with rejoicing.

O Lord, help me not to just celebrate Christmas without experiencing the joy of the Lord in my heart.
